This is a great place. Centrally located in Bangor, facing a lovely little square with a few restaurants. The room was recently redone with high-end fixtures and bedding. The bed was very comfortable. Lot’s of hot water and an impeccably clean bathroom, with fluffy towels. There is coffee shop right off the lobby, which was great in the morning. The hosts were instantly responsive to messages and inquiries. It was silent at night. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely stay here again the next time I need overnight accommodations in Bangor.

Absolutely loved our stay. Very clean room. Great downtown location, right above a coffee shop. Only about an hour from Acadia National Park! The hosts responses were very fast and helpful.

We’re so grateful to have found this listing! We took our little dog on an Acadia adventure and enjoyed it very much. Close to the park and Bar Harbor. Had all amenities nearby. Good parking.

Staying at the Phenix was perfect for UM graduation weekend - in the middle of everything, host was very communicative, and the bed was super comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

SAFE, CLEAN, COMFORTABLE! secure parking garage literally a 2 min well lit safe walk. There is a restaurant bar across the street that was nice because there were people outside and there was no feeling of being alone on the sidewalk. This place is beautifully restored historic building and the rooms are so nice this had to cost a fortune not sure how the price was this low, it’s a great find in Bangor

I loved my room, it was very clean and comfortable. Also loved the location. Great coffee from Chimera in the lobby, and great cocktails from Barliman’s behind the Phenix. I would definitely stay here again.
