The place is great, with a great location! The bed is comfortable also. The bathroom shower leaks pretty bad all over the floor, but it was clean. The hallways can get a bit noisy, but it only woke me up occasionally. Emailing the company was easy and responsive. Nice place!

The overall experience was fantastic! My only issue was it was cold when I got in there, but I turned up the heat and neglected to turn on the “on” button! Completely my fault! I figured it out after a couple of days. I read that another guest stated there was homeless people in the lobby. This is currently is not the case because there is a lock key on the door. As others stated, the beds and pillows are comfortable. The rental is clean, and there’s a great coffee shop downstairs! Although, they do provide you with fresh coffee and creamer/sugar. I own several Airbnb’s, five stars all the way around, and I know what it takes to make a successful business. These folks also know what they’re doing!

I’ve stayed here twice now when visiting family, and enjoyed the experience both times. The rooms are open feeling and immaculate, well designed with a Modern clean aesthetic - nice beds and bedding, towels and fixtures. My views were better on the second visit where the lighted municipal Christmas tree was still up (1/5/26) right outside the Phenix entrance, called West Market Square. The Chimera coffee shop that is part of the lobby system, is very convenient in the morning for coffee and an excellent biscuit-based breakfast sandwich. Take a left exiting the Phenix building and you come upon the impressive Bangor Daily News building. Right next to BDN is an incredibly convenient parking garage, with electric charging stations on the 1st floor. Both visits I was able to get first floor parking near the entrance exit (it closes late and opens at 6am) - and, its max price is $6 for 24 hrs! It’s fantastic to see how much Bangor has invigorated its downtown district in recent years!
